What Everyone at a WWTF Needs to Know About Lab & Permits

Session 1: 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.; Session 2: 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Session 1 (morning): Overview of the NPDES permit and Effluent Limitations

This class is designed to introduce wastewater operators, personnel, and laboratory staff an overview on the NPDES permit and environmental importance of effluent limitations. The NPDES permit, 40 CFR 136 and reporting requirements will be addressed.

Session 2 (afternoon): Conventional NPDES Laboratory Parameters

This class is designed for wastewater operators, personnel and laboratory staff that have a basic understanding of the NPDES permit to learn about specific conventional laboratory parameters. An overview of the approved methods, general procedures, and environmental importance of pH and total residual chlorine, BOD5, solids testing, and bacteria will be addressed.
